I'm not going to mention it to anyone. I showed my GP and he told me to go to the hospital but I can't or everyone will find out. My sister is a hairdresser and does all the nurses hairs in the hospital and they tell her everything about when I go in. So I don't want any more embarrassment on my family.

Tramadol won't kill you but it can give you nasty seizures that can land you with some serious brain damage. Overdosing on anything is really dangerous in the long run and is unlikely to kill you unless it's at ridiculously hard to achieve doses. Not with tramadol but with some drugs like benzo's you'll just end up in ICU riddled with tubes and monitors and that's really not something you want. It's very scary and not worth a 'cry for help'. Unfortunately sometimes that's what it takes to go inpatient which is crazy. There was a woman on the news here who was told by a nurse she'd have to self harm in order to be considered for admission. It's disgusting. You should talk to your psychiatrist and just plain ask that you'd like to go inpatient for a few days and give him the reasons why. If he's any good he'll consider it or even explain why it's a good vs bad idea. Good luck.
