I see it as more than just showing up in the office for a session, it's the energy outside of session into trying to work through whatever it is I'm personally working through.

Does cynicism need changing? Perhaps not. Is it necessary to trust every person you meet? Perhaps not.

One thing that's in a cbt workbook for clients that I have, myself being the client not therapist, is a goals sheet. I'd suppose if struggling to reach goals and there's some cognitive roadblocks, then it could help? Really hard to say, to be honest.
