A fire engine and an ambulance just drove down my street in response to an incredibly LOUD thunderclap (and I mean jump to the ceiling loud) and a fierce streak of lightning. Looks like the house three houses down got struck.

Hubby said he saw the stretcher go in but it came out empty and as far as he can tell, the house did not catch on fire.
