One thing you can try to get into the habit, is to start really really small and then increment daily.
I started by meditating 1 minute the first day, then 2 minutes the next day, etc... After 30 days I stopped incrementing and kept the habit of 30 minutes a day.

This technique really helps overcoming the resistance of implementing something new!
