I have been getting a lot of calls from phone numbers that I do not know recently, most with area codes not even from my area. I looked up these numbers online, and all of the ones not from a familiar area code were from some sort of college related thing, which makes sense because I am going to be a senior in high school this fall and I put my number down when I took the PSAT last fall.
But there have also been calls from the 206 area code, which is the one for the area I live in. For most of these numbers I found no information. Last week I got a call from a 206 number and looked it up in Google and it cane up as the number for King County Adult Detention. Why in the world would I be getting a call from that number? This morning I got a call from another 206 number, this one also the next three digits were the same as my phone number. This time I answered, as I rarely do. The caller immediately hung up. With the mood I was in, I called back. The phone rang and rang and rang for what seemed like minutes. There was no answer, and eventually a message from Verizon Wireless. What is going on?
