There is always FMLA leave as long as you've been at your work long enough (I think a year) and have enough hours. If you meet those requirements you get 12 weeks per year for a medical issue your dr. certifies you have and that you require time off for. Unless you have short term disablity insurance you won't be paid for that time but you can get the time off to go IP if you feel you need it.
