How do you all respond to stress?

When most people are very stressed out, they can usually take a short break and recover. (I.e. take a day off after a bad week of work and be fine)

Ever since I can remember, I've taken a long time to cool off. For example, if I have a bad day at work, it may take me three weeks to get over it. Plus, I hold grudges for a very long time (on the order of years).

I've heard that this is pretty common among people with BD. Are you all quick to "forgive and forget," or does stress leave you unstable for a long time? (When you're not manic/depressed)
