I spend a lot of time here but I do not think it is unhealthy. I discussed it with my pdoc today, actually, by coincidence.

He has concerns about me socializing and getting out, so to speak. (I'm bordering on agoraphobic but I used to be a weekly facilitator of an extremely active local bipolar support group. I became very ill due to personal life circumstances and couldn't give back anymore as I couldn't make the meetings due to hospitalization, needing to focus on myself, my daughter, etc.)

This place is very healthy for me because it is a great site. The best I have found and I can "give back" and support others.

I have an eating disorder - I struggle with anorexia and I was focusing a lot of time on that. Anyone that has an ED knows what I mean. So time consuming.

Instead, I decided to focus my time here and get healthier and support others.

I'm an attorney with an undergrad degree in psychology but I can't work. I'm disabled with bipolar disorder and on SSDI. So I have time and I love this community.

If you feel like you are on PC a lot and want to support others, go for it! Reach out and reply to posts, etc.

My two cents. xo
