I have been away from the forum for a while. I left the Oxford House after 1 month and went to the Salvation Army, which was actually better. Within a week I had a job. I moved into my own apartment in June.
The job is going well, it is just part-time. My disability was denied and I have to file the appeal but I probably won't get it because of the number of hours I am working. But I like the job and it pays the bills so I'm good.
I found some good AA meetings where the men know how to behave themselves and I go three times per week.
People keep saying that I need a sponsor but the women here just aren't friendly so I gave up on that. I may get an online sponsor.
Overall, life is going well. Still dealing with my anxiety/flashbacks, and I have a good therapist.
