I'm at uni. At school I got very little as my problems weren't recognised as mental health problems. At 15/16 I got a separate room and access to a fan. At 17/18 I got "rest breaks", so I could take time out of exams and not lose it from the exam timings.

When I moved to uni the system changes completely here. I got rest breaks and a separate room but that was before my dyslexia was recognised. Now (if Student Finance approves it) I should be getting 25% extra time, rest breaks and a separate room for exams as well as a note stating that it's been produced by a dyslexic student so I don't get marked down for problems related to that. During term-time, I'll be getting access to a lot of software, a dictaphone (which can be changed to a human note-taker if needs be), 10 hours a week with a study assistant to help me in the library and such, 2 hours a week with a mentor, and a lab assistant as well as support sessions from the dyslexia service and I'm only going back part time, as well as a laptop that can cope with things (albeit with a contribution).

It's been a massive deal to organise but given it's costing the government ~£10,000 a year I don't really mind - I understand. And this is the support I need to go to uni - without it, I would drop out again.
Thanks for this!
