I would start by going to the store and buying a lighter plunger that's easy for you to use. Buy yourself a packagae of the thin rubber gloves, like surgical gloves... then follow the directions that you've already been given. It shouldn't be that difficult to take another shower if you feel you need it.

OH! And have you thought of using baby wipes instead of all that TP?
