just a heads up different locations use different terms/language for example here in my location the psychological definition of presumptively diagnosed means the treatment provider is in fact diagnosing a person with that problem, the treatment provider is going on the assumption that the patient does in fact have that diagnosis. that the treatment provider is in fact treating the patent with the treatment plans of that diagnosis.
for example if someone goes to a doctor and the doctor looks at their arm and can see with out any tests that a persons arm is sprained then they presumptively diagnose the patent with a sprained arm and treat them for a sprained arm.
if someone comes into a psychiatrists office presenting with very obvious symptoms of depression then the treatment provider presumptively diagnoses them with depression and treats them for depression with out going through the testing process.
many times this is how people with many mental disorders get their diagnosis with out going through a very lengthy physical and psychological assessment. being presumptively diagnosed carries the same weight as going through the long diagnostic process here in america.
I know that its hard to understand how a person can get a presumptive diagnosis (of any mental or physical health problem) but the ways people are diagnosed with mental disorders was changed in 2013. granted lupus in a physical health problem but it can be diagnosed with tests and also if a person has very obvious and straight forward symptoms this can also carry the diagnosis through presumptive diagnostics too.
