Good evening everyone. I'm writing because I need some advice on medications.

I've been on Lamictal for years, and it's worked great as a mood stabilizer, but it has also lead to anticonvulsant-induced hypogammaglobulinemia/CVID. For my health, I need to discontinue Lamictal, and plan to with my pdoc, but I'm so scared for my mind. I want to be rid of CVID and am hopeful d/c of Lamictal will help, but what should I take instead? Has anyone had luck with mood stabilizers that are *not* anticonvulsants?

I've tried so many medications so this seems like I'm facing another uphill battle, but I need to get it right. They either don't work or I am just too sensitive to side effects. I have an allergy to Lithium and Topamax, so those are a definite no-no. See in my signature for my current medications.

I have until Monday to really figure this out, as I need to go to my appointment prepared.

Any advice?

And....... go!
