A few months ago I was prescribed Klonopin (clonazepam) and I liked it a little too much. So I’ve been taking it pretty regularly since then, but I’ve had to increase the dosage because I’m already building up a tolerance. Whenever one unpleasant thing happens in my life, my first thought is just to take some Klonopin so I won’t care. I don’t know what I would do without it, and that scares me. But the even scarier part is I’m pretty sure it’s messing up my memory even when I’m not on it.

For example, the other day I went out to eat and spent the whole day with my family (which is a rare thing for us) but then later that day when someone asked me “So what did you do today?” I had no idea. It took me a few minutes to remember something like that. And there’s also little things, like I’ll mix up the days (like, I’ll think what happened Saturday happened on Monday, stuff like that) and I’ll just be generally confused about what’s happening.

If anyone has been dependent on/addicted to Klonopin or any other benzodiazepines, please let me know if you experienced this too. Thank you.
