YES!!! I've had pain since my first time (besides the broken hymen thing). I've had several diagnoses--yeast infections (but the pain continued even after the infections were cleared up), being too tiny (but I've also been told I was normal), being deformed, needing to be stretched (even though I had sex for six years--admittedly, not on a regular basis--before stopping altogether, because my bf is not interested...but that's another story), etc. I still don't know.
I hope you have better luck than me finding out, but you might try additional lubrication, for starters.
May I ask how long you've had the problem? Have you been a non-virgin for long, and have you had regular sexual intercourse, pretty much?
You might consider seeing another gynecologist for a second opinion. If you continue having problems solving your issue, you might consider finding a reasonably priced copy of
A Woman's Guide to Overcoming Sexual Fear & Pain.
Oh, yeah, and one more thing I might suggest: I've found, although I still have some pain, if I use a vibrator (with the vibrations turned on) inside of me, there's a lot less pain than with the vibes turned off.
