Denial is actually an acceptable way to cope to be honest, it is a coping skill I have learned through years now of Therapy.
I can often get hyper focused on my problems and walk myself into corners. By actually ignoring them and going about my day to day helps me put things in perspective.
I think that is why even when I am in a really yucky place I can still come to PC and offer support, it gets me out of my own head.
