Sorry you are feeling weighed down by the moment and that you feel like you can't make friends. I find that by taking an active interest in others and what they are going through, I feel less anxiety about my own situation. It is like a mini vacation putting my troubles on hold and reading and replying to someone else's post.
I also meet more people in the moderated chats (Anxiety 8PM EST Weds, Depression 9PM EST Thursday Bipolar 9PM EST Saturday).
Another thing I have found is the people most open to hearing about my state of mind are right here on Psych Central. I am friends with many people now, but when I came here there was no one. So it starts with the first friend. That is a beginning.
