I'm a journalist who probably had enough English classes to minor in it, but was too lazy to find out. ;-) Lit classes make you well rounded and the ability to communicate is only going to become more necessary as technology advances. And that means communicating in standard English, not Internet English. People who know the difference between its and it's and can punctuate are going to rule the world, and soon.
