My brain is a beast when it doesn't want to sleep, which seems to be lately. The past couple of nights, after taking Olanzapine, I didn't become drowsy. I felt a little drunkish after a couple hours, but not sleepy at all. I was awake well past midnight, and when I tried to just lay there in the dark to fall asleep, I started getting some serious restless legs (and arms) going on. Very uncomfortable tension builds up in my limbs until I stretch them out, and then it comes right back. If I don't move my limbs, the tension builds until my legs or arms (or both) start to flinch. This makes it extremely difficult to fall asleep. When I do finally nod off, I keep waking up over and over again with restless limbs. By morning, I feel really drunkish and lethargic.

Have any of you ever gotten these crazy restless limb issues? Have you ever had a mixed/manic state start to overpower an AP?

I swear my brain is just like an ornery toddler sometimes, doesn't want to sleep and then throws a fit if I try to make it go to sleep.
