I should probably go back now considering how I've been feeling lately, but if I don't have anything specific to talk about, I don't bother. Those copays add up for weekly or bimonthly visits. And when visits are just me venting with no therapeutic value, why bother. Plus my very first therapist helped me a ton and I usually revisit those methods to get me through it.
It also depends on the type of therapy. CBT was very helpful and the latest T does psychodynamic psychotherapy which is also helpful..for certain situations.
In a nutshell, I haven't seen one in about five months. Probably should go for a tune-up
