Hello, from what I've extensively studied about bipolar (as I am bipolar after having been diagnosed 3 years ago due to a severe maniac episode that got me hospitalized from unintentional physical injury...) the answer to your question would be yes.

Yes Anti-epileptic medicine, as well as Anti-depresents can and WILL send you into a maniac episode of you are even mildly Bipolar... These are just some of the triggers that lead to manic episodes that can be further exasperated by other circumstances, such as lack of sleep, stress, alcohol and drug use, etc etc... (Some of which comes I think with being in a maniac state anyways)

Let me assure you, this **** is serious!!! And if you feel Adhd or have a suspicion something is not right DO NOT take it lightly...

For example I noticed my manic state (triggered by some of these factors) atleast a week before it got out of control... Unfortunately despite my talking to my general practitioner and him scheduling an appointment, I didn't think it serious and a few weeks before my appointment I went full manic and had a life altering accident as a result of me not being in touch with reality... Needless to say, my inability to understand the magnitude of what was developing when I did see my GP, and his inability to judge the same (probably attributed to a lack of family mental health history and a busy work schedule) led to a drastic turn in my life... Completely changing my life by almost killing me/ forcing me to live with a degree of physical disability issues/and changing my entire direction of life career wise, etc!!

As such I tell everyone who does think they may be manic or are experiencing some of those things... Get it looked at ASAP!!! You'll never know how serious it may have got, and may feel silly.... But let me tell you it's a hell lot of a better then dealing with the repercussions afterwards if you go full manic and loose touch! (And I'd never have thought it would have happened to me, as that's just things "I heard off"... But it just happens.... And it's hella scary!!"
