Basically, I asked for one that I could take good pictures with of T-shirts that I embelish. I need to take "defused lighting" pictures but I also need to be able to get close up to show details. The more pixels a picture has, the clearer they come out. I guess you could describe pixels as "dots per inch." At least, that's my understanding of it. Also, you can enlarge the pictures to 11x17 inches and still have them come out clear with no distortion or fuzzy. That's a little more than I need for my T-shirts, but I've also got a "passle" of grandkids. I have what I call a "rouge's gallery" on my hall walls. That's just special pics that I like to display. My youngest grandson is only 18 months and they go all the way up to 16 yrs... so you see what I'm getting at.
I'm like you. I'm cranky 'cause hubby didn't buy me the camera until AFTER our middle son went back to OR. I sure could have used it BEFORE!
My camera is a Fujifilm by brand and it's a "9mb". My oldest son is very "techy" and his digcam is a Fugi. You can get different sized memory cards. Mine comes with the CD so I can download the pics to my computer (you need a driver), the cable to hook up the camera to the puter, a carrying case and a wrist band.
I got mine on Overstock.com. It says it's "refurbished" but the fact is, it was simply returned because it was too much camera for the person that owned it previously. It comes with a 2 yr warrantee.
That's about all I have to say. Maybe someone else that knows more will have further imput.
Good luck!
