why not just drop the carpet back on her driveway tonight? Its rude ..but its also rude to drop trash on others property....id take a look at it ..lol if you like it...take it inside ...and if they call the police what are they going to do about a neighbor who found a carpet in their driveway and didnt want to leave it to litter the street..plus if she wants to get rid of it...she shouldnt say anything...and well leave it there...and later that night just drop it back over...problem solved...and if it happens again...go over and ring the doorbell..ask to speak the woman of the home and say ...Oh hi dear .remember that carpet in the front of your house yesterday? well...the wind must have been pretty bad last night...i saw your beautiful (say beautiful even if it isnt) carpet laying on my driveway and im sure you must be eager to get it back...so im just doing the neighborly thing to return it!! And then maybe make small talk about hearing they have some really great adhesive sqaures at your local store and they work great for keeping carpet in place...lol youll either get a nasty remark or a sheepish grin...either way youll get rid of it!!! Lol and if she keeps refusing that its her carpet....drop it on the edge of her drive way...and if you see it back tommrow...then its time just to drop it in the garabage yourself and let it go...good luck!!!
