I've had T's with a variety of years of experience: everything from fairly new to the work, to around 20 years to around 30. They were all very good at what they did. I would say the two with more experience probably moved me farther along the path to healing, and my most experienced (my current T) had the widest range of knowledge and skills and a very astute ability to use the right approach at the right time. He also had the highest level of education of the three and the broadest range of types of experience in the field -- research, educational assessment, clinical assessment, psychiatric hospital work, and private practice. I suspect his strong skills had much more to do with his broad range of education and experiences than with only his years of experience.
