I've always needed to have a place for everything and everything in its place. Not certain if that's due to the Asperger's or not? Oddly, I've been accused most of my adult life (by m-i-l, DH, & a few others) of being an insufferable slob. Only began realizing I was not either a few years ago! Crazy, huh? But that's not the only false thing I believed about myself, so I guess that goes along with the abuse and the ability of others to make me believe things about myself because I was so "out of it" and oblivious, (or whatever.)
If it is your stuff & it makes you feel better having it organized a certain way, then it's up to others to leave your stuff be! JMOH.
