Hi spring, I know how hard you are working on building self esteem. One of the steps is to not value too much the negative opinions of others like your aunt.

You can always be proud of what you did to be there for your parents even if they did not give you the childhood that was all you hoped for.

The nicest lady in the world is the housekeeping person at the nursing home where my dad is staying. When I see her she makes me feel so deserving of the good things. She is like a ray of sunshine on a dark foreboding day. I will always remember her.
