Have you read anything by Elain Aron? She studies what she calls "Highly Sensitive People".

There is a lot of information out there about this. I think it's worthwhile to spend some time learning about it and how to manage it.

I have seen some articles recently linking "becoming insensitive" to physical illnesses like fibromyalgia and autoimmune illnesses. I have no idea if there really is a connection.

I imagine I noticed it because I grew up before information on the HSP (highly sensitive person) became available and I spent a lot of time becoming less sensitive and I developed fibromyalgia and autoimmune illnesses.
