I tried so thing were you take a nurotransmitter test - you can google that - once you get the results back you will be recommended some amino acid therapy along with fish oil and a high quality multi vitamin.
It will defiantly help with anxiety. I'm gonna guess your low in GABA at least so the amino acids for that would be taurine, and l theanine.
This treatment take along time to work. As you comtinue everyday to take the supplements your body uses them to make the nurotransmitters and after 6-8 mouths you really see improvments.
I've also tried the approach you are looking into I had blood test which test for under/ over methylation, pyrole disorder, some other things there's a book called "nutrient power" by William j Walsh that explains this. Anyway I was taking high doses of folate and b12 and it was giving me some bad side effects so I stopped.
My program was suppose to make things worse for the first few weeks and then get better but having a full time job I just couldn't see going through what I was feeling so I stopped.
Now I went back to the amino acid program and I'm consider a small dose of medication cuz I been getting angry out burst and mood swings. If you want to talk more about it you can pm anyone.
