What Christiana asked.....or....how long ago did you actually tell him when your birthday was if you did actually tell him.

Has your relationship ever been anything other than long distance? I don't think you can expect a long distance relationship to be good with stuff like this.....I mean really you live your live where you live & he's involved in his life where he's living & a long distance relationship is pretty much just that....it's a relationship when you are communicating with each other & most of the time you don't even know what they are doing any other time in their life....it's not personal like living in the same town.

I had a long distance relationship when I was in High School (years ago)......we were LOL...even talking about marriage after we did get a chance to get together. That following summer, I got a letter letting me know that he got married right out of high school......that was when I realized that with a long distance relationship, we NEVER really know the other person.

Honestly I wouldn't be hurt by it. Know it would have been nice if he had remembered, but think this is an indicator that you need to be looking at....if he had an interest in when your birthday was, he would have made a note of it or he would have asked.....seems like an indicator of just how much interest he really doesn't have in the over all emotional part of the relationship....more of an acquaintance than a real emotionally intimate relationship......maybe time for a reality check????

I do hope that you were able to celebrate & have a happy birthday in spite of not getting a birthday wish from him.
