aww, i feel for your situation. i was much the same. except that i went way too far away from home that first year of college (1500 miles!) at least you didn't do that, from how it sounds. i hope you will give yourself a big hug, try to be proud of yourself for giving it a try. and yes, i agree, some of us are just not cut out for the college life and living in the dorms. goodness knows i wasn't. transferred four times and ended up at a school 15 minutes from my parents' house when i graduated. tried being away at two different schools. came home both times.
i hope your family will be supportive about your decision if you decide to go home. that makes it a lot easier. that said, maybe you will find that as some time goes by you will connect with some more people there?
