i haven't had much experience with this particularly, but i can relate as i was forced to interact with people over the phone to schedule depositions when i didn't want to at my last job. i don't know about making accommodations for you, but it seems to me if a job was promised and you relocated and everything, it would be really crummy if they don't offer you something else.
