hi Fosterthehuman
I have had experience with social anxiety. What I found was that as I got depression and anxiety. More under control. The social anxiety seemed to become much less and hardly a problem except on days when I did not feel good.
I do think with regard to interacting with people. The best thing to do is to have a strategy on what to talk to them about. Asking them where they are from did they have a good journey getting there and what areas in the theme park would most interest them? The standard advice here is to talk to people about their favorite subject, which is always themselves. You can get medication for anxiety and depression and this does make symptoms easier to manage. As well as this, you could see a CBT therapist to get good coping skills or an acceptance and commitment therapy therapist which is the one I use. Googling one for your area would bring one up.
That the manager wants to see you on Monday. I feel is an indication they have some offers for you. Otherwise I do think that they would have been straight with you and said working with them would no longer be possible. But it is possible to reassure yourself that even if this job does not work there may be other ones that would. I really hope this does turn out well for you. Take care. Have a really great week. God bless and best wishes from your friend Francis
