I was on Ability (2.5mg- a very low dose) in conjunction with an antidepressant and an anti anxiety medication. It really helped with the lows but I felt like it took away the highs as well. Not just the hypomanic highs but also any kind of excitement for anything. I didn't really have any change in appetite or weight gain. I came off the Abilify because it sort of zonked me out of all my emotions entirely.

I'm now on lamictal and it's been wonderful so far. Virtually no side effects (although some fatigue at the beginning) and my moods feel more manageable without making me feel numb.
