yes, i am bi-polar and have add. i tried strattera but it made me angry all the time. now i take guanfacine and it does wonders. it was developed as a blood pressure med but they discovered that it helps with add. there are two versions, one is timed release and the other isn't. the old guanfacine costs maybe 10 dollars per prescription. the newer version (timed release) costs considerably more (with no added benefit for me)

without the guanfacine i cannot read because i can't concentrate and my mind goes off on tangents. now i read a novel a week.
