Saw my pdoc today and got my Haldol raised from 20 mg to 30 mg. I'm wondering if that is a lot.
Asking because three years ago, when I first asked my primary care doc to put me back on Haldol until I could get in with a psychiatrist, she gave me 1 mg tablets. Obviously 30 is a lot more than 1, but I also thought I'd heard of people going on 60 mg of Haldol a day. My session ran four minutes late already so I didn't get a chance to ask the pdoc and I don't see her again for eight more weeks. Curious about others' experience with this drug for SZA/SZ.
Along similar lines, she has been reducing my Effexor and Lamictal because she says they both stimulate dopamine and fight what the Haldol is trying to do. I used to be on 300 mg of Effexor and 250 mg of Lamictal. I've only been seeing this pdoc since January and she seems to really know what she's talking about.
Thanks in advance for any replies!
