Yes they aren't the same thing but you are getting disability payments so if you start working you need to show it to your caseworker and you need to find out how much you can work. They might change your benefits if you now work. That's what the person was telling you.

Also don't go buy anything before they tell you. They have specific requirements for what to wear. Certain type of pants and shirts. When you go there so you see what they are wearing? I doubt you'd be wearing a skirt there
