Hello All!

I was recently diagnosed with BPD (3 days ago to be exact). I have been dealing with this my whole life, but struggled severely the past 8 years. I'm currently in a relationship in the "devalued" stage, and I don't know quite yet how to handle the information. I am relieved that I finally have an answer, but scared as to what comes next. My family and significant other know about the condition, but I they are all taking it very lightly. My doctor said I am on the high functioning scale of BDP. I am in the process of establishing a therapist; I am looking around due to insurance and financial difficulties. Do I need to leave my relationship, move back home, ...? I don't trust myself to make these decisions without the proper knowledge of what to expect. I would like to know what everyone else's response was to their first diagnosis. Any tips or advice on where to go from here?

Thank You!
Hugs from:
