For me diagnosis was a light bulb moment, it all made sense.

Getting started I would suggest reading BPD for dummies, I got it from the library and it was really helpful, so much that I bought my own copy. It really breaks things down in a way that was helpful at a time when I was not processing information very well. There are other great books out there as well.
