Thanks Debbie - I'm glad you shared your story. I'll see what my doc says today. I've been trying to find specific pain specialists in my state and I have found one clinic which is comprised of anesthesiologists. Their website indicates they do use injections and meds, although their goal is to try not to have people on long term pain meds.

I just don't get it? I do know that you do build a tolerance after awhile and then there is the possibility that no pain med will work. Kinda like how they are worried about everybody taking too many antiobiotics.

I'm glad I heard your story because I'm ready to give up - I need to hear these kinds of stories to keep pushing for an answer.
