Chickenfoot: Why do you want to try something that could make your symptoms worse? I'm just curious because I really don't understand. You were diagnosed with drug induced psychosis, right? And you were just on about tapering off your AP, yet now you're intending to take drugs again?? For me, had I ever taken drugs, I know that I would definitely be wondering if my difficulties would've been reduced had I NOT taken drugs? I guess I'm just confused...
I will admit that I've never taken recreational drugs and so I genuinely don't understand the appeal - is it boredom? Isn't there anything else you could do if you're bored? Hobbies? Volunteer work? A part-time job?
Are you not concerned that it would make things worse? I know you've been researching, but there are never any guarantees with any drug, recreational or otherwise. My uncle died accidentally OD'ing on the same amount of heroin & alcohol & benzos he took every day. You hear of people taking ecstasy all the time and their friend tries it once and dies. There's many stories like that.
I don't think it's a good idea, but if you're really going to do it anyway, definitely ensure there is someone around to call for help if you need it. And I think you should also be charting your drug taking with your symptoms because, from reading your posts, I definitely think there is a correlation between your drug use and an increase in symptoms.
Stay safe.
