Definiyely rude, but she might only know about the medications usually used for treatment. Seriously, everytime I see my psychiatrist she always asks what I'm using for birth control because the medications cause major birth defects and you won't know your pregnant till at least a few weeks ( it drives me nuts because I'm constantly having to repeat that my husband had a vasectomy 5 years ago, and no more little ones since, how do you not remember this or have it clearly visible in my file).
