It can take awhile to find the right med(s). How many ADs have you tried? And have they all been SNRIs like Effexor? If they have, maybe try giving SSRIs a shot, or maybe wellbutrin which to be honest I don't know what class it's in, but I know it was very effective very quickly for me.
