None of us have the ability to diagnose. I would trust your that your Dr knows best. A lot of people "forget" stuff and have trouble starting projects, but it doesn't mean they have ADHD. If you are female, then I would say you have a greater chance of managing to get good grades, while being impaired by ADHD. I'm female and went undiagnosed due to that fact. However, it wasn't until the last 10-15 yrs that they have learned that it manifests differently in females. Plus, my life was totally unmanageable years after college due to this illness. It is quite common for females to do well in school and have ADHD, since they are more prone to perfectionism. Anyway, if you truly feel that ADHD is causing problems in all areas of your life, not just school, then I would make it a priority to get a second opinion. It sounds like you are managing well for now. Even if you did receive an official diagnosis, they probably would not see the need to medicate you at this point. I wouldn't purposely fail class, just to get meds.
