Oh gosh I SOOO know what you mean. I think what happens is we want to see them in as good or bad, right or wrong. But life isn't that simple and the world is full of color, not black and white!

There is a song that has helped me a ton with that idea. It says some offensive words, though, but the major message is about being somewhere between lashing out in anger and denying your own pain. There has to be a middle ground where you validate your own feelings and love yourself, but at the same time you don't attack another human being. At least that's how I see it. I think BOTH parts of that are CRUCIAL.

Easier said than done, I know.
