I used to take xanax quite a few years ago for a few years then a different pdoc wanted me off of it. With a slow taper I had no problem coming off it.

Niw I take ativan. I have been on it for about a year and a half and find myself taking much less of it this year than last year so I can't say that benzodiazepines addiction has been a problem for me. In fact my pharmacist feels I should be taking it more than I do. I only take it to help me with sleep at night but not at times when I get really anxious as I am supposed to.
