The difficulty is finding the medication that works best for you. Which would be a matter of trial and error. I read on the Internet that they are working on a new medication presently being given to rats that have been given depression which cures it with in a few hours. However, it will have to be tried on humans and go through all of the procedures to get FDA approval, which will take a few years. I suppose but it is an encouraging development. Take care.
