Yes, I've participated in art therapy groups. I'm a creative person and tremendously enjoy doing art, so for me art therapy is wonderful. I found it especially helpful to listen to my inner voice while I was doing my art work...for example, 'You are doing this well enough', 'as usual, you're giving up too easily', 'you never could color in the lines and make your artwork look neat'...and so on.
I'm using a coloring book for adults lately and find it very beneficial.
