I've been in that situation. My pdoc and ex-t are in the same practice. I've also seen another t in that practice as well. My pdoc actually owns the practice. Both times, when I asked pdoc for another recommendation bc the t's weren't working out, he was perfectly fine to do it. Both pdoc's and t's know that they won't be the right t for every single person out there. I really think they are used to people coming and going; it happens all the time. So I'd just ask. If you think you'd be uncomfortable seeing another t in that same practice, just ask if pdoc knows anyone outside the practice. I did that this last time, but unfortunately my pdoc didn't really know anyone to recommend. I had to call around myself and find someone. But I still see my pdoc and when I see either of my ex-t's I just smile at them and they smile back. Good luck
Thanks for this!
