However, it wasn't until the last 10-15 yrs that they have learned that it manifests differently in females. Plus, my life was totally unmanageable years after college due to this illness. It is quite common for females to do well in school and have ADHD, since they are more prone to perfectionism. Anyway, if you truly feel that ADHD is causing problems in all areas of your life, not just school, then I would make it a priority to get a second opinion. It sounds like you are managing well for now. Even if you did receive an official diagnosis, they probably would not see the need to medicate you at this point. I wouldn't purposely fail class, just to get meds.

I am planning on getting a second opinion later. I do feel this had affected a lot of my life's problem, but more as a secondary problem or what not.
I'm not going to purposely fail classes for that reason, and I'm not going to try on purpose to fail, but I might fail due to everything getting to me now at once. I really want to try to get this all sorted out, but I feel I relate a lot to several symptoms of it, and even my siblings agree that I do many things that are considered AD/HD severely (mainly very forgetful, procrastinator, fidgety).
Thanks for the response [emoji4] .
