The only social media I belong to is Linkedin. I joined ages ago and never did anything with my account. Then my current supervisor nagged me into using it more. I've made a ton of connections, especially within our agency, because the head of HR is really into Linkedin. I've also reconnected with some folks I haven't seen in years, but I still don't use it very much. Like others have said, if I really want to communicate with someone I'll use the phone or e-mail.
I intentionally don't belong to any other social media. I am a very private person. I don't want people tracking me down on-line through social media. Also, as others mentioned, the drama involved in places like FB is more than I want to deal with.
